What is your approach to massage?

When the body and mind are given space to relax, it is able to do it’s deepest healing work. Carissa’s approach supports this by providing a calm, nurturing, and relaxing environment to help address:

    • Stress and anxiety
    • Emotional burden
    • Neck and shoulder pain
    • Insomnia
    • Fibromyalgia
    • TMJD

Carissa works to create a gentle environment for Highly Sensitive People (HSPs). She welcomes people with sensory processing sensitivity into the treatment space.

Do you offer deep tissue massage?

Carissa’s approach to deep tissue massage is not about causing pain or using heavy pressure. It is about understanding of the layers of the muscles in the body and how they will relax, lengthen and release. Most techniques are applied with medium to light pressure. Carissa’s believes that when the body and mind relax, the body can do its best healing work.
